If you\u2019d like to view or listen to your score on a computer without Mus2, use one of the\u00a0options under the Export<\/strong> command in the File<\/strong> menu to convert your score to a different\u00a0format. See below for more about the available file formats.<\/p>\n

XML File<\/h2>\n

You can import and export files in the MusicXML format to share and edit scores between Mus2 and other software.<\/p>\n

Once a composition is complete in Mus2, go to \u201cFile\u201d => \u201cExport\u201d => \u201cXML File\u2026\u201d to export it.<\/p>\n

Audio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
AIFF (aiff)<\/th>\nUsed for recording to CD, converting to MP3, etc.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Wave (wav)<\/th>\nUsed for recording to CD, converting to MP3, etc.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MIDI (mid)<\/th>\nUsed for re-\u00ad\u2010arranging the score in another music application. See Exporting MIDI.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
SymbTr (txt)<\/th>\nAllows access to the SymbTr nota collection which was written as a projects and contains more than 2000 pieces.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Bitmap (bmp)<\/th>\nSaves the score with a white background and no compression.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
JPEG (jpg)<\/th>\nSaves the score with a white background and with compression. Suitable for\u00a0web pages.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
PDF (pdf)<\/th>\nUsed for viewing the score with Adobe Reader and other PDF readers. This is a vector-based format, suitable for printing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
PNG (png)<\/th>\nSaves the score with a transparent background and with lossless compression. Recommended for web pages.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
SVG (svg)<\/th>\nSaves the score as a vector graphic.
