Select the type of dynamic you want to add from the red sub-section.
If you want to bind the dynamic to a single staff, click the Dynamic affects one staff tool from the green sub-section.
To bind the dynamic to two adjacent staves, choose the Dynamic affects both staves tool.
Click the note where the dynamic will begin. The selected note will be marked blue.
For dynamic marks that span multiple notes, click the note where the dynamic will end.
